snow is coming down at 3 inches per hour in the city with a 40- mile per hour wind gust. that's the textbook definition of a blizzard. let's switch over to our weather maps and show you the heavy snow from philadelphia and wil mington delaware up i- 95 through hartford and providence and boston all the way up to portland, maine. big-time storm there. for us, nothing. kpix5, high definition radar showing dry conditions. some of you squeezed out a quarter of an inch of rain fall, but that rain is done. we were sunny this afternoon. the 36th time we've been sunny out of 39 days. only three cloudy days so far this year. so exiting is the low pressure area that gave us that rain fall. no longer a factor in our weather. what is entering is an area of high pressure. and this one, just like the past two, likely going to stick around for more than a week, perhaps as long as two weeks. i don't see a drop of rain anywhere. high pressure stays off to our west, which is a chilly, northerly flow for the next several nights. afternoons will get progressively milder, and 10 or more hours
